Audrey Snyder is a visual artist, chef, and interdisciplinary researcher based in Southern California. Her work cultivates the relationship between ecology, infrastructure, and place-making through sculpture, installation, and food. Rooted in seeds, soil, and geologic time, Audrey’s work is context-specific and often collaborative, engaging with land-based knowledge systems and site histories.
Audrey received a BFA from The Cooper Union (2013) and an MS in Regenerative Studies from Cal Poly Pomona (2023). Her recent research focuses on transhumance and decentralized grazing as an emergent ecological practice in California. She participated in the Interdisciplinary Art & Theory Program (2019), Fresh Kills Field R/D, and the Socrates Sculpture Park Emerging Artist Fellowship (2018-2019). Her collaborative work with artist Joe Riley (Into the ground and Passengers of Change) and the collective Futurefarmers has been presented at Clockshop, the Guggenheim, Sharjah Biennial, and Artes Mundi 7. In 2024–25, She was a participating artist in Getty Pacific Standard Time: Art and Science Collide, in partnership with UC San Diego and Birch Aquarium.
